Quick Cheque provides you with the facility of automatically issuing correct cheque numbers instead of you entering them as and when you issue cheques. Hence defining a cheque book becomes necessary in Quick Cheque Premium & Enterprise Editions.

When defining a cheque book, you can attach a cheque template which ensures that all cheques issued from this cheque book automatically get printed using the right cheque template. The cheque book assumes a status, Completed once all cheque leaves in the cheque book are used.

Premium Edition

Adding a Cheque Book

  1. Log into Quick Cheque with a user having privileges to add a Bank records to Quick Cheque
  2. Navigate  to the Cheque Books  screen by clicking Masters → Cheque Books.
  3. Click the Add button to create a new Cheque Book.
  4. A small pop up window will open asking for the below mentioned key inputs. Kindly note that the mandatory fields are having a Yellow Background and must be entered in order to save the Bank Account record.
    • Account # ► Select the Bank Account to which this Cheque Book belongs.
    • Cheque Book # ► Enter the cheque book number as mentioned on the physical cheque book in order to ease identification at the time of issuing cheques.
    • Cheque Template ► Select the Cheque Template from the list of cheque templates applicable for the selected bank account.
    • Remind Me Before ► Enter the number of cheques, starting which you wish to receive a warning that your cheque book is finishing soon.
    • First No. ► Enter the Cheque Leaf number for the first cheque in this cheque book.
    • No. of Cheque ► Enter the number of cheque leafs in the cheque book. Based on the values of the First No. and No. of Cheques, Quick Cheque will automatically show the last cheque number in this cheque book.
    • Issue Date ► Enter the date on which you started using this cheque book. Quick Cheque will restrict you from issuing cheques before the issue date of the cheque book. In case you are not sure, you can enter an arbitrary date in this field.
    • Remarks ►You can capture any other key information that has been missed and you would want to record, in the Remarks field.
  5. Click the Save button to save the Cheque Book.

You will receive a confirmation message that the Cheque Book is saved successfully or any reason because of which Quick Cheque was unable to save the Cheque Book. Quick Cheque will present you with a warning message in case an active cheque book is found for the account in order to prevent duplication of cheque books.

Editing a Cheque Book

You can edit a Cheque book only when it has not been used in order to alter certain information. For editing a Cheque Book follow the below mentioned steps

  1. Navigate to the Cheque Book screen by clicking Masters → Cheque Books.
  2. Select the Cheque Book which you wish to edit by clicking it once.
  3. Click the Edit button from the menu to edit the selected Cheque Book.
  4. Click the Save button to save your changes.

You will receive a confirmation message that the Cheque Book is saved successfully or any reason because of which Quick Cheque was unable to save the Cheque Book.

Enterprise Edition

  1. Follow the steps for Premium Edition as explained above.
