In Quick Cheque, Bank Accounts hold the transaction information for all deposits and withdrawals. You can create multiple Bank Accounts against a single Bank in Quick Cheque so as to resemble the actual banking structure followed by your organisation. You can perform actions such as adding, editing or viewing Bank Account information from the Accounts screen under the Masters Tab on the home page.

This functionality is applicable to only Premium & Enterprise Editions. You can contact our Sales Team on [email protected] in case you are using the Free or Lite Edition and would like to upgrade it.
Premium Edition
Adding a Bank Account
- Navigate to the Bank Accounts screen by clicking Masters → Accounts.
- Click the Add button to create a new Bank Account.
- A small pop up window will open asking for the below mentioned key inputs. Kindly note that the mandatory fields are having a yellow background and must be entered in order to save the Bank Account record.
- Bank Name ► Select a Bank from the drop-down list for which you wish to create the Bank Account.
- Account # ► Enter the Bank account number for the Bank Account.
- IBAN # ► Enter the IBAN # for the account. IBAN is the new International Bank Account Number which is now mandatory for making overseas transactions.
- Track Balance ► Quick Cheque can track the balance of your account and guide on you every withdrawal and deposit. in case you wish to maintain balances in Quick Cheque you should check the check box else leave it unchecked.
- Opening Balance ► Opening Balance marks the starting balance of the Bank Account and tracks the transactions hence forth to arrive at the current balance. This field will be locked in case you have left the Track balance check box unchecked.
- Currency ► Select the Currency for this account from the drop down list. All transactions fro this account will follow this currency.
- Account Type ► You can classify your accounts into Business, Savings, Petty Cash, Main Cash etc. type for easy reporting. Type the Account Type which you wish to use in case the same is not existing in the list.
- Account Holder Name ► Enter the name of the signing authority for this Bank Account in order to be displayed at the time of preparing the cheques.
- Remarks ►You can capture any other key information that has been missed and you would want to record in the Remarks field.
- Click the Save button to save the Bank Account.
You will receive a confirmation message that the Bank Account is saved successfully or any reason because of which Quick Cheque was unable to save the Bank Account.
Editing a Bank Account
You can edit a Bank Account once it is created in order to alter certain information. For editing a Bank Account follow the below mentioned steps.
- Navigate to the Bank Account screen by clicking Masters → Accounts.
- Select the Bank Account which you wish to edit by clicking it once.
- Click the Edit button from the menu to edit the selected Bank Account.
- Click the Save button to save your changes.
You will receive a confirmation message that the Bank Account is saved successfully or any reason because of which Quick Cheque was unable to save the Bank Account.
Deleting & Inactivating Bank Account
There may be scenarios in which a Bank Account is to be deleted so as to prevent future entries for cheque books. A Bank Account can either be deleted or inactivated depending on the scenario.
A Bank Account record can be deleted from Quick Cheque in case there are no Cheque Books associated to the Bank Account. In case such information exists, the Cheque Book needs to be deleted before deleting the Bank Account. Alternatively, a Bank Account can be inactivated instead of deleting in case we wish to maintain the Bank Account and Cheques information for record keeping purposes.
Follow the below mentioned steps in order to Delete a Bank Account
- Navigate to the Bank Account screen by clicking Masters → Accounts.
- Select the Bank Account that you wish to delete by clicking it once.
- Click the Delete button from the menu.You will receive a message asking for confirmation.
- Click Yes.
You will receive a confirmation message stating that the Bank Account is deleted successfully or any reason because of which Quick Cheque was unable to delete the Bank Account.
Follow the below mentioned steps in order to inactivate a Bank record
- Navigate to the Bank Accounts screen by clicking Masters → Accounts.
- Select the Bank Account that you wish to inactivate by clicking it once.
- Click the Edit button from the menu.
- A new window will open showing the Bank Account information.
- Click the Inactivate button on the top of this window.
- You will be prompted for a remark which is mandatory and needs to be keyed in for event logging purposes. Key in the reason for inactivating this account and click the Inactivate button.
Quick Cheque will inactivate the Bank Account and hide it from the list of active Bank Accounts. You can view the inactive Bank Accounts by clicking the active check box twice or removing the filter from the bottom of the grid.
Follow the same set of steps in order to Activate an inactive Bank Account.
Enterprise Edition
- Follow the steps for Premium Edition as explained above.
